“I trained under Dave for the 3
years when I played for the Banff

training programs and ideas in my

training has helped me so much
over the past few years as I
moved out of major junior and
into the college ranks.
During this time I have been to

always showed up in the best

has improved tremendously thanks
to Dave & when I turn pro I will

"It's
black and white. Too be a
successful hockey player in the
game today you need a lot of
tools. Strength and
conditioning is becoming more
evident with players becoming
bigger and faster. Dave's
programs will push you in ways
words can't discribe, but the
pain is worth the pleasure in
the end when you're winning your
races to the puck and skating
past your opponents. Dave
definitely changed my hockey
career and I will always thank
him."

Traditional training isn’t

jokingly called me fat and slow

past summer and after making me
his whipping boy for a couple of
months got me into the best
shape of my life. I gained

baby fat. I’m in my last year

Having done the workouts and

"Dave
has a knack of getting people
into unreal shape for training
camp...it's scary. I
needed to put on 20lbs this past
summer so I could have a good
year in Junior-A and Dave came
through. I showed up at
camp in the best shape ever and
tippin' the scales at a solid
196lbs. The extra strength
has helped so much, I've never
crushed guys like I have this
camp and I'm stronger on the
puck too. Overall I feel
great and owe a lot of this to
Dave and his amazing training
methods."

"I met Dave through the Banff Hockey Academy
and began using his dryland program in the
summer before the 2009-2010 season. At
first it proved very challenging because I
hadn't worked with such an intense program
before. During that season and this
past season and now off-season I have seen
huge gains in the gym (such as 190kg squat,
140kg bench) and I'm only 18. I look
forward to this season in the EIHL to see
what I can do. It has helped me gain
an advantage on the ice. Thanks Dave."

I need all the help I can get. Not
just to perform better, but to avoid

perform on the ice over the time I
spent working with you, which helped
get me to the D-1 level.”

“As an athlete
working with David Pollitt was one of the
best experiences I have had with a strength
and conditioning coach. Everything we did
was extremely innovative and sport specific
which enhanced my teammates and my own
performance on and off the ice. The most
creative workouts I have ever done were part
of David Pollitt's ab-ball work-outs. I
spent about a half hour at the end of every
lift practicing on the ab-ball. First we
learned just how to kneel on it and balance
by ourselves, followed by abdominal
conditioning. Slowly but surely Dave pushed
us to learn how to jump onto the ball and
balance without using our hands. By the end
of my time with Dave I was able to readily
stand up onto an ab-ball without using my
hands and do squats on it with weights he
handed me, pass a ball back and forth while
just standing on the ball, and juggle while
standing on the ball, as well as jumped onto
a ball that was thrown at me and stop it and
balance on it at the same time with my
knees. David Pollitt's knowledge of
athletes allowed him to push my teammates
and I to optimal levels of strength and
conditioning. Using team based techniques
in off-ice training such as indian runs,
races up the Centre Hill, and position
specific training helped me to walk onto the
Boston University Hockey team in 2002-2003.
Although i was cut after my first season,
when it came to strength and conditioning,
technique, and hard-work I was able to show
that i was in the top echelon of Division 1
athletes. David Pollitt was a great
strength and condtioning coach because of
his knowledge in his field. Dave could read
althletes, knowing how and when to push them
and when to give them a break. Also,
working out with many coaches it was a
plearse that Dave is not just concerned with
the team as a whole, he takes time with each
individual to make sure they reach their
potential.”
